Why have a home inspection?

If you’re buying or selling, almost all contracts include a statement on the condition of the home.

Before putting your home on the market having a pre-listing inspection done will make the entire sale process easier, other wise you can count on the buyers inspector finding corrections, at the worst possible time, causing delays and costing you more money.

As the seller, you want to get the price that is fair for your investment, getting a pre-sale inspection is a lot cheaper in the long run. One benefit of having the inspection done early is to discover any repairs that might need to be done on your terms, on your schedule. When a problem isn’t found until the buyer has an inspection performed, the deal you’ve worked so hard to get done may fall apart unless you act quickly to get the repairs done.

Buying a home is a large investment, and most people want to know what they are getting for their money. A home inspection is not just for the buyer or the seller it is for the home.

This non-biased look into potential problems and hazards, how the house systems function and how they have been maintained, is vital to the buyer. In essence, a home inspector is telling you what the buyer can expect from their home in the future.
